Paleo FAIL

My first week of Paleo eating was a complete bust! I thought giving up wheat would be hard last time I did that but it was easy. I thought transitioning now to Paleo when I barely eat grain carbs already would be easy. It wasn't. We had a couple last minute dinner plan changes, my husbands work schedule is out if whack and more than anything, I just didn't plan well enough.

This Thursdays post is all about the need to plan and this past week really drove that point home for me. Failing to plan is planning to fail. How many of us get the bold idea to try a new workout regime or way of eating and then don't plan out our success? It's the reason so many healthy resolutions fail.

This upcoming week I am back in the air flying and living out of a suitcase and a lunch kit for 4 days at a time necessitates planning. I normally fill my lunch kit with rotisserie chicken, steamer bags of veggies, Greek yogurt, Holy Crap cereal, nuts and fruit. It's hard to go wrong when you're set up like that! Packing meals or planning meals ahead of a time is a practice I need to get better about implementing at home as well as on the road. It's the map to healthy eating success.

Who out there packs lunches or dinners? Does anyone pack coolers each day as suggested by the Eat Clean Diet? Does anyone batch cook so you're meals for the week are all ready?
