Think About It Thursday - Go hard...or at least Go!

It might seem from this blog that I never have trouble with gym motivation.  Let me be clear (and honest), that is not the case! I have been working out consistently for 11 years so I won't lie say it's not easier now then when I started out and thus, I am sure there are days when it's easier for me than it is for others.  But other days, it's still hard.  I get tired, I get busy, I lose focus, I don't see results and some days I just don't want to do it.  Most days, I go anyway.  Occasionally I don't go.

The two most important things:
1) Go more often than you don't.
2) Don't abandon ship because you skipped a day (or a week or a month or even a year)

On days you don't want to workout, just put the outfit on and commit to 10 minutes.  You'll probably keep going.  Allow that some days your workouts won't be the best.  In fact, some days they will flat out suck.  Do them anyway.  When you just can't face a workout, take a day off and go the next day. The longer you wait to get back to it, the harder it is.

You don't have to go all out every time.  You can run slowly, or not run at all and just walk for a while.  You can lift weights for 10 minutes instead of you usual 30 minutes and take comfort knowing 10 minutes is way better than no minutes.  Forget all or nothing.  Moving is better than not moving.  So go hard when you can and just go when you can't bear a hard workout.  Every movement will benefit your body.
