Can I eat out without ruining my prep?

Today is my wonderful husband's birthday. He turns 30 today (finally joining in me in the same decade, not I feel a little less old!) and we are headed into Houston to celebrate with his family. He and I are going to celebrate again in April when we have friends in town (who are coming to watch my show too!) and when I can eat and drink a little more normally than I can now.

That being said, I am not going to be sitting out his birthday celebrations today. I hit fasted cardio this morning already and I'll be back in the gym shortly for weight and some HIIT. For dinner, my husband kindly picked a restaurant that we already know is awesome about customizing meals for special dietary needs. I entered my meal that I have already planned for the restaurant into my tracker FIRST and then I will work backwards from there to make sure my macros are good for the rest of the day. By asking for some customization
and with planning ahead, you can totally stay on your prep diet even when a special occasion comes up. If this way of eating is to become a lifestyle, you have to figure out how to fit it into your life not try to change your whole life to fit the diet.

So now, to the celebrating! I hope Sean has a wonderful day today and I can't thank him enough for agreeing to celebrate again later with me! Remember, planning and effort is what will carry you through any weight loss journey!
